Profile Born in Jamnagar, India, to Jayantilal Rayshi Punjabhai Patani and Divyabala Chimanlal Sojparbhai Malde, I spent much of my early childhood and schooling in India. We moved to reside in the UK in the late 1980s, where I completed my college education and went to university. Soon after, I qualified as a Chartered Accountant and worked as an auditor for 9 years before moving into Investment Banking overseeing Investment Funds for Europe & Middle East and more recently providing oversight of Systems and Control. Outside of work I like painting (mainly watercolours), and playing Badminton.
Vision for Oshwal Oshwal is our heart and head – our culture and our identity – as both as Jains and as part of the Asian diaspora, who from very humble beginnings in a few villages of India have now come and settled and excelled beyond dreams in one of the world’s greatest cities. Our community’s greatest treasure is the diversity of its people, their abilities and talents. My vision for our community is simple – to harness these abilities to take our community forward. I want our Oshwal community to thrive in the pursuit of happiness and wellbeing for ourselves, our parents and our children. By supporting each other, together we can make this universal Oshwal Aspiration a reality and take it forward for the next generation.
