Today is our auspicious day. Diwali has a very special significance in Jainism. It marks the anniversary of Nirvana (final release) or liberation of Mahavira’s soul, the twenty fourth and last Jain Tirthankara of present cosmic age.
I am very pleased to announce that on this auspicious Diwali day today, we have completed the acquisition of a property in Croydon, South London. There is much work ahead of us to develop this new property as a Centre for us going forward. Please bear with us on this, and we will keep you informed as we progress on these matters. This is another milestone achievement for OAUK. On behalf of OAUK I would like to thank all the members who had been involved in acquiring this property.
Tomorrow is New Year’s Day and our Derasars at all 3 Centres will be open from early morning for you all to start your new year with prayers. Refreshments will be served at Oshwal Centre, so please, all join us for the day. Finally, we hope to see many of you for our Diwali celebrations and get together on Sunday 11th November.
