Start Time: 08:50 am for warm up and arrival
Starting at the Golders Hill Park (near the tennis courts) this is a moderate circular walk through the Hampstead Heath.
There is free parking on Dunstan Road & Finchley Road. Please car share if possible.
This walk explores one of London’s best known and loved open spaces. You will walk through “The Secret Garden” and is undeniably one of London’s hidden treasure. It ascends the viewpoint of Parliament Hill, Kenwood House & The Spaniards Inn, where Dick Turpin is thought to have been a regular.
Please bring your trekking poles, gaiters, sturdy suitable walking shoes and waterproof clothing as we will be covering natural paths. Also bring some food for a rest stop along the route and at least 1 litre of water. Arrive by 08.50am for warm up and we will start promptly at 9.00am.
Participants must be generally in good health and capable of walking unaided over rough terrain.
Please bring at least one litre of water and some snacks.
Please wear suitable clothing for weather and suitable walking boots as we will be walking paths which can be muddy and slippery.
Please be advised that children under the age of 16 should be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Dogs are also welcome as some of you have enquired.
