Daan is an important part of Jainism
Over the past few years we have collected a significant amount of food items that were donated to the Red Cross to be distributed to street sleepers, asylum seekers and refugee families. We have the opportunity to do the same again this year. If you wish to donate towards this worthy cause, please give essential items such as toothbrushes, shampoo, soap or food items like pot noodles, bottles of water, rice, sugar, coconuts, cornmeal, tinned tomatoes, beans, pulses and lentils etc. These items will be collected on 19th April 2020 at the MJK celebration. Let’s make a difference to those who are less fortunate than us by giving a little ‘Daan’ again this year. We shall present it collectively to the Red Cross on behalf of the Oshwal Association UK, Leicester Area.
