It is with deep regret that we announce the death of Mr Mahendra (Batuk) Nathoo Maya Dodhia on Thursday 7th January in the U.K.
He was the son of Late Savitaben and Late Nathoo Maya (of Arablus, India).
He was the son in law of late Dhaiben and late Virchand Ramji.
He was husband to Pravina (Pami) and father to Beiju and Neema. He was father in law to Sohagini and Matthew.
He was a doting dada to Khyra, Syan, Kayden & nana to Joshua & Jasmeena.
He was brother to Champa (late Shashikant), late Rajnikant (Kusum), Dinesh (Subadhra), Arun and Bharti (late Navin).
He was brother-in-law to late Pushpa (Chandrakant), late Nabu (Ramesh), Kanchan (Ashok), Hasu (late Gita), Hema (Nalin), Tony (Anju) and late Manjula.
Dad was much loved and highly regarded by all who knew him. He was a kind hearted, selfless person who always thought of others before himself. He lived a full life and enjoyed spending time with his family and travelling abroad. He loved spoiling his grand children with sweets and chocolate treats! His passion for cards started at a young age and he enjoyed many a day playing cards at Oshwal community centre with his family and friends. Dad also loved cricket which he enjoyed watching with mum.
The cremation for Mahendra Nathoo Maya is currently being organised with details to follow in due course.
Please feel free to hold your own private prayers should you wish to, as under the current circumstances only close family will be attending. The number of people who can attend has been severely restricted.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to all relatives, friends and well-wishers for their messages of condolences conveyed to us in these difficult and exceptional circumstances where personal contact has been advised against nationally and internationally due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
