Profile I was born in Kenya and have lived in the UK for more than 50 years. I spent most of my working life in various accounting roles for BT. I have been involved with Oshwal since I arrived in the UK but have been more actively involved in the last ten years.
Vision I had the privilege of being at the first ever formation meeting of the Oshwal Association of the UK in Westminster Hall in 1968. Over the last 50 years I have witnessed firsthand the growth and success of this community. Moving forward, to sustain this progress, it is vital to ensure that the community adapts and evolves to remain relevant to future generations, whilst maintaining its identity and roots. We can do this by respecting the views and needs of younger people and giving them a platform to express their views and aspirations.
